“Being part of Reef Check has changed my point of view.”
Stories like these inspire our staff and keep our mission moving forward!
“My name is Esperança Bila, I’m from Mozambique 🇲🇿
We did the Reef Check in Ponta de Ouro.
My experience at Reef Check was incredible because diving is a passion. During the training, I acquired the scientific knowledge and methodologies that served as a focus on building questions and answers that should be investigated using reproducible methods.
Being part of Reef Check has changed my point of view. The tools I learned for monitoring specific areas showed that over time, it is possible to know what is happening to the ocean. I learned about the dynamics of death in reef environments due to global warming and how pollutant emissions into the sea have affected communities of organisms in the most diverse habitats.”
Thank you, @bilaesperanca_ for sharing your story and photos!
