Don’t miss this survey season!
There are still spots open for our recertification classes along the West Coast of the US. Remember, you MUST get recertified to participate in the 2026 survey season.
Each recertification course includes an online refresher exam and two open-water dives to ensure you remember your training and can collect accurate data.
Divers, check your emails 😉 We look forward to seeing you in the water.

Make story time with your kid fun and ocean-y while supporting @reefcheck_hawaii
Meet Polly Polyp and the Curious Baby Shark, a heartwarming ocean tale set on a sunny Hawaiian reef. When Nalu, the baby shark, wonders where he fits in, he meets Polly Polyp, a small but mighty coral with a big heart. Together, they discover something powerful: every reef creature has an important role to play, even sharks.
This beautiful story was created in partnership with Reef Check Hawaiʻi, which trains volunteer divers to count fish, invertebrates, and monitor coral health, helping safeguard ocean homes for sharks, turtles, and reef life for generations to come.
Perfect for young ocean lovers, future scientists, and anyone who believes small actions are a big deal.
