You don’t have to be a diver to volunteer with Reef Check. Our partners working on installing and servicing environmental sensors are seeking non-diving shore support help, and we’d love for YOU to join us! 🤝
Here’s what you’ll do as a volunteer shore observer:
✅ Attend dive briefings to understand the dive plan and emergency procedures
✅ Hang out on the beach with our emergency supplies (O2 kit, first aid kit, AED) during the dive
✅ Be prepared to call 911 and help direct EMS to our location if needed
✅ Possibly assist with gear transportation to and from our entry/exit point
✅ Enjoy the beach, read, birdwatch, and answer questions from curious beachgoers while our dive team is underwater! 😊🏖️
No first aid/CPR/AED/O2 training required – our divers are fully trained and equipped to handle emergencies. Your presence adds an extra layer of safety and support for our team! 🚑
Magnolia site visits occur quarterly, and Lincoln Park dives are monthly. Your participation enhances our dive operations and ensures a safer environment for all. 🙌
