Reef Check Suits up with Tusa
No one ever said volunteering was easy. Reef Check divers end up learning this the hard way, doing surveys on hundreds of reefs around the world every year. All the diving ends up taking a toll on both bodies and equipment. While there isn't much Reef Check can do about the aches and pains of diving, help has arrived on the equipment side.
In support of Reef Check divers and their efforts to bring more public awareness to the threatened condition of the world's reefs, TUSA, and their parent company TABATA USA, have generously donated over ten thousand dollars worth of dive equipment to Reef Check. Thanks to the efforts of Stephen Ashmore, President of Tabata USA and Brad Lally, Product Manager for TUSA and Sea&Sea , Reef Check has received assorted masks, fins, snorkels, and BCDs for use as we monitor the health of the world's reefs.
TUSA is one of the original dive equipment manufacturers, founded with a commitment to quality by Kazuo Tabata in Tokyo, Japan in 1952. From the first handmade mask constructed in a garage, TUSA gear has always been constructed with the finest materials and the utmost attention to detail. Following success in Japan, TUSA began importing their innovative gear to the USA in 1979 and currently manufactures a full line of dive equipment from masks and fins to regulators and BC's. TUSA will continue to shape the future of diving as their team is constantly working to improve the scuba and snorkeling experience.
