Global Bleaching Reports (September – October 2015)

The third Global Coral Bleaching Event (GCBE3) is underway. Reef Check has requested all interested groups (Reef Check and non-Reef Check teams) to send us reports and photos from field surveys. The list of responses for the months of September and October 2015 is given below. We hope to disseminate a regular “bleaching report,” to help everyone to track the NOAA Coral Watch predictions versus actual bleaching and damage to reefs. Please send your summary field reports on bleaching on global coral reefs to Elena Johannsen, Assistant Program Manager, Reef Check Foundation at ejohannsen@reefcheck.org. Please try to use the same format as below but include water temperature and % mortality where applicable.
