One World, One Ocean...together we can make a difference. It takes only one person to damage a reef and only one person to protect a reef. Please do your part to protect and conserve this valuable resource. |

I love diving, and particularly diving on coral reefs, and am in the lucky position of earning my living guiding and teaching divers. The thought that subsequent generations might not have the opportunities that I have had to explore these unique environments makes me angry and sad at our collective short-sightedness and selfishness. We all have a responsibility to limit our impact on reefs and other ecosystems and we can all make changes in our lifestyules and behaviours today that will begin to reverse the current destructive trends. I hope that everyone on this list will be an ambassador for the reefs we love. |

As a former salt water aquarist who both captured live marine fishes and took live rock, I know how important education about coral reefs and inhabitants thereof can be. I had no idea that what I was doing was harmful and destructive. I want this beautiful ecosystem to be around for my grandchildren to view and wonder at! I wholeheartedly support this declaration and joyfully sign it! |

J'espère qu'il y aura toujours quelques récifs en bonne santé ici vingt ans, mais je suis trés pessimist. Ca n'empeche qu'on fasse tout pour sauver ce qu'on peut. |
