Register a Reef Check Team

To participate in Reef Check, you must complete and submit the registration form shown below. A confirmation will be sent to your email address. Additionally, Reef Check may contact you for additional information. Your registration form will be good through the end of the calendar year. If you are surveying multiple reefs, you do not need to register each of them separately.

All new teams are required to be certified Reef Check EcoDivers. For existing teams- starting in 2012, Reef Check will only accept data collected by certified Reef Check EcoDivers. Backcertifications are available, please contact ecodiver@reefcheck.org for more information.

All teams must have a Team Scientist, a Team Leader and will need to be trained by a Reef Check EcoDiver Trainer. Team Scientists should be marine biologists or highly experienced natural historians. Team Leaders should be experienced divers, preferably a divemaster or instructor and their focus is on team safety.
