Our highest priority is to help the State of California to effectively manage, maintain, and restore its marine resources.  To accomplish this, we are providing decision makers and the general public alike with high quality unbiased data describing California’s nearshore rocky reefs.  Advocating for a particular outcome would limit the usefulness of our data by introducing a sense of bias into our results.
