Why is Reef Check important to coral reef conservation and preservation? | ||

Reef Check’s methods are designed to be carried out by teams of experienced recreational divers or village fishermen, trained and led by a scientist, and to produce data that is relevant and useful to managers. Reef Check’s programs work because they help local communities monitor their own coral reefs by providing the information needed for reefs to be managed in a sustainable manner. | ||
